Icons from the Velimezis Collection
In 1997 the first exhibition of the Collection opened in the Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki, as inaugural event of the celebration ‘Thessaloniki 1997, Cultural Capital of Europe’. The exhibition was opened by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Stefanopoulos.
