In 2011 the Department of Working Drawings of the Velimezis Collection was invited to present works in the crypt of the St Alexander Nevski cathedral, on
the occasion of the 22nd International Congress of Byzantine Studies. The exhibition was under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Greece.
