On the occasion of the state visit of the President of the Hellenic Republic Konstantinos Stefanopoulos to the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, in 2001 and in response to his express wish, the Velimezis Collection was exhibited in the Národní Muzeum, under the auspices of himself and the President of the Czech Republic Dr Václav Havel.
